Why Should You Moisturize?
Our focus for Spring 2018 is promoting your healthiest skin through improved hydration levels. To get the most out of your moisturizer, you should be using one year-round, morning and night. And if you’re not doing so already, now is the perfect time to start!
Using a moisturizer is like giving your skin a nice drink of water. It hydrates the skin and seals in surface moisture to prevent the skin from dehydration. If you’re not sure whether or not your skin is hydrated, it’s probably not. It’s estimated that 75% of the US population suffers from dehydration, meaning this issue affects most of us in a big way. Dehydrated skin can look dull and is more likely to accentuate fine lines, making us look older.
Seeing as we spend so much time talking about our products as multi-taskers, we pride ourselves on having created solution moisturizers that address hydration needs, in addition to providing additional benefits.
Hydra Radiance Moisturizer
When we rebranded this past July, we wanted to organize our skincare products in a logical manner that would allow clients to pick and choose their own personalized solutions to their skincare concerns. Currently, four out of our five solutions have a dedicated moisturizer, with some solutions having multiple. Our Bright Skin Solution, which addresses hyperpigmentation concerns, was our only solution without a dedicated moisturizer, but not anymore. We are so excited to introduce our newest product, Hydra Radiance Moisturizer, to help you achieve a brighter, smoother and more even looking complexion. Hydra Radiance Moisturizer combines a concentrated blend of botanical brighteners, Vitamin C and gentle smoothing agents to give you both immediate and long term results, while it’s lightweight formula makes it appropriate for all skin types.
How Does It Work?
To start, Exfolactive® targets and smooths existing pigmentation. Clinical studies of Exfolactive® use showed an increase in enzyme activity, which helps release the bonds holding surface skin cells together. By releasing these bonds, skin’s natural exfoliation process is sped up, resulting in smoother skin and a fresh, radiant complexion.
Through this release, overly pigmented cells are removed, allowing for better penetration of other actives. Hydra Radiance Moisturizer features Microalgae, Bearberry and Pine Extract- botanically-based, non-Hydroquinone brightening actives. These ingredients also have impressive clinical results as they help suppress Tyrosinase, a key enzyme involved in creating melanin.
Finally, we turn our focus to long term results, by reinforcing and repairing skin’s strength. Once again, we call on Et-VC™, the same hero ingredient featured in our Daily Power C serums, in addition to Snow Algae, an ingredient derived from encapsulated Microalgae.
How to Use
To get the most out of Hydra Radiance Moisturizer, use it alongside the rest of our Bright Skin Solution products including Daily Polishing Cleanser and one of our three serums, Brightening Serum, Lightening Serum or Triple Action Serum. At this time, we do not have a toner as part of our Bright Skin Solution, but we recommend choosing a toner that best suits your skin type.
If hyperpigmentation is only one of your main skin concerns, we recommend replacing your current moisturizer with Hydra Radiance Moisturizer and keeping the rest of your routine the same with either skin type or skin concern products.
By now you should be using an SPF daily, but if you’re not, it’s more important than ever. Hyperpigmentation is directly related to sun damage and most products that work to reverse the effects will not work if an SPF is not used. Fortunately, we currently offer three SPF options whether you’re oily, sensitive or needing a hint of color.
