What is a tinted primer?
A tinted primer is a type of face primer that combines the benefits of skincare, color correction, and makeup prep in one step. It offers sheer coverage to help even out skin tone while smoothing the skin’s surface and minimizing the look of pores. Glo Skin Beauty’s Oil-Free Tinted Primer SPF 30 includes clinically proven skincare ingredients, making it a versatile choice for everyday use. If you’re also working to even out tone or texture, explore

Can tinted primer be used as foundation?
Yes, many tinted primers can double as lightweight foundation alternatives, especially if you prefer a more natural, no makeup-makeup finish. They’re ideal for days when you want light coverage to even skin tone, reduce shine, and blur texture, without layering on full foundation. You can wear a tinted primer on its own or add concealer and setting powder to build a bit more coverage while keeping your skin looking smooth and fresh. Those with easily irritated skin might also pair this with
sensitive skin care products for a more balanced approach.
How long should you let primer dry before applying makeup?
In the context of makeup, you don’t need to wait too long. Just give your primer a minute or two to set before applying foundation or other products. Letting it sit briefly helps it grip to your skin and gives you a more even application. For tinted primers, this short pause also allows the tint to settle and blend more evenly into your complexion.
What shade of Oil-Free Tinted Primer should I use?
We recommend taking the 'Right For You' quiz, which you can find on the image at the top of this page. Our quiz will ask you personalized questions about your skin tone and match you to the perfect tinted primer shade.
Is this tinted primer safe during pregnancy?
Yes, this tinted primer should be fine to use while pregnant. However, with any new product you introduce to your regimen while pregnant, we recommend you consulting your doctor first.
I have sensitive skin, can I use Oil-Free Tinted Primer?
Yes, Oil-Free Tinted Primer is good for all skin types from oily to sensitive. Zinc Oxide is a natural mineral broad spectrum sunscreen ingredient, meaning it blocks both UVA (aging) and UVB (burning) rays. Often you will see it promoted as the ideal choice for sensitive skin. Why is that? Mineral sunscreens lay on the surface of the skin—as opposed to chemical sunscreens which absorb into the skin, and they reflect the sun’s rays like a mirror, meaning there is less potential for irritation.
Do I need to wear additional SPF products if I'm using this product?
You may use Oil-Free Tinted Primer as a standalone SPF product, but we recommend re-applying every 2 hours to maintain protection. You can always wear a SPF product under or over this product as well.
What do you apply first: tinted primer or moisturizer?
Apply your moisturizer first, then apply Oil-Free Tinted Primer to prep the complexion for a smooth foundation application. Dispense 1-2 pumps onto clean fingertips and apply.
