Bridal Beauty Timeline: How to Get That Perfect glo

Congratulations, you’re getting married! There are many tasks that need to be completed before the wedding, but one of the most rewarding parts is establishing a bridal beauty timeline. Taking care of your skin, hair and body should be done year round, but a wedding is the ultimate excuse to come up with a plan and commit to it.

7-8 Months Before the Wedding

  • Create an exercise plan. Fitness aside, exercise is an incredible and effective way to de-stress.
  • Visit a salon or spa for a professional skincare consultation.
  • Start eating a balanced diet (if you aren’t doing so already!).
  • Establish your basic skincare regimen (and stick to it!).

5-6 Months Before the Wedding

  • Begin professional skincare treatments to target your skin concerns.
  • Research hair and makeup style options. Deciding what bridal makeup look and hairstyle you want will help you narrow in on the right makeup artist and stylist
  • Try different at-home facial masks to find your best match.
  • Research lash enhancing treatment serums.

4 Months Before the Wedding

  • Schedule your hair and makeup trial or start practicing on yourself.
  • Start lash enhancing treatments.

2 Months Before the Wedding

  • Whiten your teeth professionally or at home.
  • Book a relaxing treatment and avoid using any new skincare products.
  • Give your tanning a test run.
  • Start assembling your wedding day survival kit: Brainstorm with your bridesmaids to think of all of the items you might possibly need to touch up your hair and makeup on your wedding day (cotton swabs, lash glue, mascara, lipstick), as well as other emergency items like bobby pins and safety pins, and create a survival kit.

2 Weeks Before the Wedding

  • Trim and color your hair.
  • Get a gentle facial or do an at-home skin treatment.
  • Exfoliate your body from head to toe!
  • Get at least 8 hours of rest every night. You’re so close to the finish line! Take extra care to get enough beauty sleep leading up to the big day.

1 Week Before the Wedding

  • Shape your eyebrows.
  • Wax your legs, bikini area and underarms.

2-3 Days Before the Wedding

  • Get a manicure and pedicure.
  • Get your final spray tan.

The Big Day!

  • Moisturize your body and face in the morning.
  • Allow 45 minutes for makeup and an hour for hair.
  • Breathe and relax! Today is your day.
